ARTIST ON THE TOUR . . . What a Blast!
I have been part of the Mother’s Day Tour for the last several years. I look forward to the tour for many reasons . . . not least of which is opening my studio and gallery for hundreds of folks. The vibe is so upbeat, the questions thought provoking and the opportunity to watch people enjoying viewing my work is addicting! There are many faces that I recognize from year to year and it’s a thrill to see the art-loving parade that lasts the entire weekend. I encourage all artist members of CAA who want to be on the tour to go through the jury process to be part of next years tour. Tour participation is challenging, rewarding and great fun!
ANNOUNCING ENCORE WEEKEND!
The Camano Arts Association is proud to announce that we’ve extended the popular Mother’s Day Studio Tour to two weekends!
Mark your calendars!

LOCAL ARTISTS PREPARE FOR 5th ANNUAL SNOW GOOSE & BIRDING FESTIVAL
The 5th Annual Port Susan Snow Goose & Birding Festival is scheduled for February 20 and 21, 2010 in Stanwood and on Camano Island . Camano’s Acrylic artist and CAA Member, Ann Cory painted “Home for Christmas” which was selected as this year’s poster image and beautifully represents the 2010 festival. This very popular community wide festival is a definite “not to be missed”. Ann’s collectible poster is available for purchase at the two festival venues, local art galleries and Stanwood’s Snow Goose Bookstore. Meet and visit with the artist, Ann Cory, at her display in the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center in downtown Stanwood on Saturday or Sunday.
“Everything Bird” a large fine art exhibition will be open for your enjoyment at Four Springs Lake Preserve, 585 Lewis Lane, on Camano Island, throughout the two day festival. Over 30 local artists will be showing bird themed original artwork. Many of the artists will be at the show to meet with you. Please join us for the 2010 Port Susan Snow Goose and Birding Festival. Additional information, maps and the festival’s schedule of events is on the official festival website below. Check it out! www.snowgoosefest.org
Saturday from 3 to 5p.m., Gerry Andal’s will be serving a BBQ Salmon dinner with coleslaw and baked beans, for just $10. Advance tickets will help us plan, so don’t wait until Saturday… Tickets are available now at the Snow Goose Bookstore in Stanwood, at Gerry Andal’s in Stanwood, and during the festival weekend hours at the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center in Stanwood.
