About CAA
The Camano Arts Association (CAA) is as old as the Mother’s Day Studio Tour. Originally CAA was an outgrowth of the first attempt to make art a visible part of our lifestyle through a small Gallery Walk held on Mother’s Day weekend, eleven years ago. Today it’s a group of more than 100 deeply committed artists and non-artists. There are studio and gallery owners, professional artists and those who do it for the love of the art, and art enthusiasts. All are committed to the concept of bringing art to our local communities, and especially to our schools and public places. Our artists continually support local causes with donations, mentor art students, teach in various classes around the community, and share their expertise whenever asked. As a non-profit organization, we are frequently challenged to do what we do on a limited budget, and we are deeply grateful to our friends in the business environment who partner with us to make art a living, breathing part of our daily life.
