LOCAL ARTISTS PREPARE FOR 5th ANNUAL SNOW GOOSE & BIRDING FESTIVAL
The 5th Annual Port Susan Snow Goose & Birding Festival is scheduled for February 20 and 21, 2010 in Stanwood and on Camano Island . Camano’s Acrylic artist and CAA Member, Ann Cory painted “Home for Christmas” which was selected as this year’s poster image and beautifully represents the 2010 festival. This very popular community wide festival is a definite “not to be missed”. Ann’s collectible poster is available for purchase at the two festival venues, local art galleries and Stanwood’s Snow Goose Bookstore. Meet and visit with the artist, Ann Cory, at her display in the Floyd Norgaard Cultural Center in downtown Stanwood on Saturday or Sunday.
“Everything Bird” a large fine art exhibition will be open for your enjoyment at Four Springs Lake Preserve, 585 Lewis Lane, on Camano Island, throughout the two day festival. Over 30 local artists will be showing bird themed original artwork. Many of the artists will be at the show to meet with you. Please join us for the 2010 Port Susan Snow Goose and Birding Festival. Saturday from 3 to 5p.m., Gerry Andal’s will be serving a BBQ Salmon dinner with coleslaw and baked beans, for just $10. LOCAL ARTIST WORKING IN THE CLOUDS
Marie-Claire Dole will display a new line of fine jewelry and introduce gallery visitors to her new artwork medium,soft pastels. “Clouds” will run from September 11 through 20, at Gallery by the Bay in Stanwood, WA.
